Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person's health and well-being. Massage therapy can help relieve low back pain, sciatica, whiplash and neck pain associated to motor vehicle accidents, arthritic symptoms, pregnancy related symptoms, strains and sprains, and sports injuries.

Mhairi graduated from Queen’s University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy, and again in 2007 with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. She has taken widespread post-graduate training in manual therapy, orthopaedics, and sports physiotherapy, and currently holds her Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy through Sports Physiotherapy Canada, and a Certificate in Neuroanatomical Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Mhairi has been working as physiotherapist for over 14 years and has extensive experience working with athletes of all levels, screening for injury prevention and performance optimization, post surgical rehabilitation, motor vehicle accidents, low back and pelvic girdle dysfunction, as well as many other general orthopaedic and chronic conditions. Using sound clinical reasoning, Mhairi enjoys providing comprehensive treatment that meets each individual’s specific needs to optimize their function and therapeutic goals. This includes patient education, specific exercise prescription, manual therapy, acupuncture, taping, and importantly empowering clients to manage their condition and rehabilitation process outside of the clinic. Mhairi is looking forward to starting her Gunn IMS training this spring.

Over her career, Mhairi has worked with highschool senior boys basketball, highschool football (Terry Fox Secondary), Team Canada Women’s Field Hockey, Coquitlam Express Junior Hockey, United Men’s Rugby, and Team BC U18 Football (including 2011 Canada Cup and 2012 US Army Bowl).

Tymarah started working as a counsellor in 2013 and obtained her Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

She is specialized in relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches. She received a Graduate Certificate in Complex Trauma from the Justice Institute of British Columbia and has completed trainings/certifications in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Focusing, Polyvagal Therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and Play Therapy.

Prior to becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor, she worked as a sexual health educator; so is at ease discussing topics that might feel uncomfortable for others.

From the interior of British Columbia, Thea grew up in Kamloops, one of the country’s most diverse playgrounds. Having exposure to a community with a collective interest in getting out doors and pushing their limits, whether it be on the lakes or in the mountains, has left her with a deep understanding of the needs of many different athletes and hobbyists alike. Practicing since 2015, Thea has always taken an intuitive approach to treatment, taking the time to absorb each individual’s needs and concerns. Located in Kamloops, Jil has experience treating those suffering from conditions due to repetitive strain injuries, concussions and whiplash associated with motor vehicle accidents and sports injuries, orthopedic trauma and pains as well as symptom management for some systemic conditions, pre and post natal care and strains due to postural imbalances.

Jil grew up in Kamloops and completed her training with the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Upon graduation, she lived and worked on the west coast of the island, where she fell in love with surfing and the ocean. She then moved to Sun Peaks, BC to work with ski racers and weekend warriors. After a season of skiing and ski touring, Jil had the opportunity to work in a mentorship program with a renowned RMT at Rebound Health Services in the lower mainland. She then went on to study internationally to become a STECCO Fascial Manipulation practitioner and is one of the only practitioners in Kamloops with this certification. With her mentorship ending and a new set of skills, Jil decided to move back to Kamloops and start her own practice in 2015, Dimensional Registered Massage and Wellness.

She then completed her 200 hour Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher training followed by Prenatal Yoga training to bring a holistic and active element into her massage therapy practice.

Jil currently teaches yoga classes at Yoga Now Kamloops and is the co-founder and co-lead instructor on her joint venture Muva Dynamic Movement Education, creating and teaching courses to fellow RMT’s and other allied manual health practitioners for continuing education credits.

Jil’s post grad courses includes Post Concussion Syndrome Management, Chronic Pain Management, Graston Technique, Stecco Fascial Manipulation levels 1 and 2, Human Kinetics and Exercise Physiology.

Lucki Khurana joined Kamloops Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre in 2014 after five years working in private practice in Saskatoon. Lucki completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2009. Lucki is devoted to her profession and is motivated to continue post graduate work. She has completed certification in acupuncture, dry needling and earned a Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMPT) in 2014. Most recently Lucki has combined her love of yoga with her passion and skills in rehabilitation and has completed two intensive courses to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. Lucki is excited to offer this holistic approach that incorporates the biopsychosocial model, healthy balanced living, self-management, posture and strengthening applied to yoga and activities of daily living.

Lucki graduated with distinction from the College of Kinesiology prior to obtaining her Masters of Physical Therapy. She then completed courses in manual therapy from the Orthopedic Division of Canadian Physiotherapy Association in their Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy system. Lucki has also completed post graduate studies in Portugal run by Australia’s Curtin University, earning her Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMPT). Other advanced training completed include Certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and Gokavi Transverse Technique Dry Needling.

Lucki’s interest in athletics led her to play a significant sports medicine role with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Women’s Volleyball team and the Huskies Men’s Soccer team. She is enthusiastic about health promotion and demonstrates an active interest by sharing her knowledge through strength and conditioning classes, education sessions, running, weight training and yoga therapy. If Lucki is not at the office you can find her hiking with her dogs, traveling, running, practicing yoga and constantly challenging herself to learn new skills.

Stephanie grew up in Pitt Meadows BC with a background in competitive sport, fuelling her passion for health and wellness. She has always been fascinated by the human body, the mind and movement. After years of practising as a student, she completed her Yoga teacher training in 2017, which has heavily added to her knowledge as an RMT. She completed her program at the Vancouver college of massage therapy, and has practised in Vancouver since. Recently, she has made the move to Kamloops to further support her love for the sun, the outdoors and exploring new areas.

Stephanie delivers patient centred care. Her treatments are goal orientated, and she works intuitively, listening to her patients and their body. She incorporates a variety of techniques with therapeutic deep pressure, adding some relaxation to each treatment so her clients leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Danielle is certified in Stott Pilates and Stott Total Barre. She has completed workshops in Core Training for Pregnancy, Pregnancy Posture and Exercise, and Training for Delivery. Danielle has a love for movement and is constantly being reminded of the positive impact Pilates has on her daily life. Danielle was first introduced to Pilates as a competitive dancer in her teen years. She used Pilates as a form of conditioning to increase strength and reduce the risk of injury. She was blown away by the effectiveness from it and it soon became a staple in her life. Danielle believes in moving with integrity and developing a strong mind-body connection to reach your goals.
